Dunstaffnage Castle

The Sir John Murray (SJM) is a 24-meter Scottish marine research and survey vessel operated by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) for environmental monitoring, water quality assessment, and seabed mapping.

Dunstaffnage Castle is a partially ruined castle in Argyll and Bute, western Scotland. It lies 3 miles NNE of Oban, situated on a platform of conglomerate rock on a promontory at the south-west of the entrance to Loch Etive, and is surrounded on three sides by the sea. 

Dunskey Castle

Dunskey Castle, a picturesque ruin south of Portpatrick, dates from the mid-16th century, built by the Adairs of Kinhilt on the site of an earlier, destroyed castle. Though the new tower house saw additions in the 1620s, it fell into ruin by 1700, with its stone used for other buildings, and now stands as a dramatic cliff-top ruin popular with coastal path walkers, offering views towards Northern Ireland.
